Question:  What should I expect after the program is over?
Answer:  At SHS, we pride ourselves on customer service.  Following each program, you will receive your completion certificates and attendance roster in a very timely fashion.  Our instructors and consultants are always available via phone or email to answer any safety and health questions that you may have; even following the completion of a course.  If we do not have the answer, we can guide you to an agency that can further assist you.  When the time nears for you to renew your certification, we will send you a reminder notice.  We take the stress out of safety and health education.

Question:  Can training be conducted if any of the participants have a disablilty?
Answer:  Yes.  The staff of SHS all have extensive backgrounds in healthcare and can utilize their vast experiences to meet the needs of any student.  Please speak with us prior to a scheduled class date so that any necessary accommodations can be made.

Question: I need emergency training for my staff but some of them are not fluent in English.  Can training still be provided?
Answer:  Yes.  At SHS, we use the latest computer software that allows us to translate our training materials into almost any language.  With some of the more common languages, such as Spanish, textbooks are available.  If your agency can provide us with one staff member who is fluent in both English and the other language in question, this vital training can be conducted.

Question: I want to start a safety program at my company such as an Emergency Response Team and  / or an Automatic External Defibrillator program.  I do not know any of the local or national guidelines and need assistance putting such a program together.  Can Safety and Health Solutions assist with this?
Answer:  Yes.  We can start by assisting you with putting a plan in writing and then implementing it company wide.  During this process, we will work with you to make all of the notifications that need to be made to local emergency organizations and / or occupational safety authorities.  As part of your program, we will conduct the necessary training and maintain all of the records for you.

Question:  Is there any benefit to taking a classroom course vs. taking the class online?
Answer:  Yes.  While taking a class online may be more beneficial for your schedule, it can have definite drawbacks.  Your computer is not experienced in the respective fields that you are getting educated in and cannot offer you realistic scenarios or a live instructor to present questions to.  While being well-versed in the material is important, knowing the practical skills needed to save a life is of even greater importance.  Also, many employers and agencies are not accepting CPR and First Aid certificates that were obtained online without the student demonstrating proficiency in the skills.  You may end up having to take the training twice.
